Goods Train Derails at Patna Junction

Patna: Railway workers were busy on Tuesday morning after a goods train going to the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in Barh jumped the track at platform number 9 of the Patna Junction late Monday night.

Authorities are investigating the cause of derailment.

As reported, the goods train was going passing through platform number 9 of Patna Junction when suddenly it jumped the track derailing three of its cars loaded with coal.

The accident affected traffic on Patna-Gaya line as many trains, including Hatia Express and Ganga Damodar Express, had to be diverted to Jha Jha and Jasidih, officials said.

As of Tuesday morning, workers were still removing coal from the line and an accident relief vehicle was seen helping pull the derailed cars back on the track.
