Patna: Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey, at the meeting of the party workers in Patna on Tuesday, took a shot at his predecessor and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav's skinny built saying like his own body, Yadav squeezed all life from Bihar's health care system leaving it in a tattered state.

"Like his own body, Tej Pratap Yadav left the health department in a very sick shape. He destroyed the entire department that we are now trying to put back on track," Pandey said.

Talking about hiring more nurses in Bihar hospitals, the Health Minister said that the result for the exam for nurse job that was held last year would be announced within a month or month and a half after which nearly 7000 new nurses would be appointed at various government hospitals and their satellite units in rural areas.

"This will also accelerate immunization and sterilization at all satellite centers," he said.

Pandey also denied there was trouble brewing within the NDA saying the RJD leaders were spreading rumors of Upendra Kushwaha and Jitan Ram Manjhi planning to exit the BJP-led coalition just to confuse the voters.

"Both Manjhi and Kushwaha are not going anywhere. This is just a ploy by the RJD leaders who see the writing on the wall in the absence of Lalu Prasad Yadav," he said.
