Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was given a warm send-off by party leaders and senior officials at the Patna Airport on Sunday when he left for Delhi on his way to Japan where he would arrive on Monday morning.
Kumar is expected to hold high-level meetings with investors in Tokyo on February 20 and in Osaka on February 21.
He is also scheduled to visit Kyoto for sightseeing.
Accompanying the Chief Minister to Japan are Road Construction Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nand Kishore Yadav, Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, Road Construction Principal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, Building Construction Principal Secretary Chanchal Kumar, Industry Principal Secretary S Siddharth, CM's Secretary Atish Chandra, IG Bachchu Singh Meena, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Gopal Singh, Bihar Industries Association (BIA) chairperson KPS Kesari, and Bihar Chamber of Commerce former President O P Sah.
The delegate from Bihar is expected to discuss issues related to infrastructural development including road construction, metro railways, tourism, energy, industrial development and hospitality industry, officials said.
