Muzaffarpur: Just days after his brother Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, announced his decision to vacate his government-provided bungalow because 'Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi had unleashed ghosts in it to traumatize him, his younger brother and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav claimed the Kumar-Modi duo were out to put him in jail where he is likely to be poisoned in an attempt to silence him for good.

Speaking at a public rally in Bochahan block in Muzaffarpur district on Friday, Yadav, who has emerged as the de facto leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in the absence of his father who is now managing the party from a jail cell in Ranchi following his conviction in the offshoot of the fodder scam, said that the state government, with the help of a friendly government at the center, was conspiring to put him in jail as well by implicating him in made-up corruption cases.

"Before I embarked upon my 'Nyay Yatra', several of my well-wishers warned me of threat on my life during my visits to various places in Bihar. They told me that it is very likely that some of my political enemies would poison my food or drink at the government circuit houses where I would be staying. They also told me that there is also a good chance of me being arrested during my Bihar tour on false charges," Yadav, who is seeking release of his father by drumming up voters' sympathy to build pressure on the state government, said.

Saying Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was becoming nervous of his popularity and the success of his 'Nyay Yatra', the senior RJD leader accused the government of putting spies on him and tapping his phone calls.

It may be recalled that earlier last week, his brother and former Bihar Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav had claimed that he decided to vacate the government bungalow provided to him after he experienced paranormal activities in the building 'let loose by Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi'.
