New Delhi: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yashwant Sinha who has been a fierce critic of the Narendra Modi government at the Center, announced on Wednesday that he would hold a program in Patna on April 21 to make a major political announcement.
Sinha, the former Union Finance Minister who has sounded alarm about the current BJP leadership saying it posed great threat to the nation, while refusing to divulge any details of the Saturday event, said the program will be attended by a number of leaders representing a host of political parties including Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Samajwadi Party (SP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Trinamool Congress and even Janata Dal – U.
Among those who are expected to participate in the program include RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejaswi Yadav, disgruntled JD-U leaders Sharad Yadav and Uday Narayan Chowdhary; and another senior BJP leader and MP from Patna Saheb Shatrughan Sinha, sources said.
It may be noted that Sinha's son Jayant Sinha is a minister in the Modi government.
As recalled, the former Union Minister, along with Shatrughan Sinha, formed a national forum named 'Rashtra Manch' in January to unite forces against the NDA government. He has been a strong opponent of Modi's demonetization and GST bills calling them 'anti-people' and 'anti-poor' that would have some serious consequences on the Indian economy.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
