Bihar Cops Recognized for Excellent Performance

Patna: Bihar police in Patna on Thursday honored 123 cops ranking from constable to inspector for excellent performance and going above and beyond their call of duty.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manu Maharaj, at a function at the Police Line, handed out cash awards and citations to 123 policemen including the inspector of the Quick Response Team (QRT) Golden Kumar, constables Vishal Singh and Ayush Kumar, along with many others.

"The QRT team led by Golden Kumar has been successful in cracking many cases and its accomplishments in keeping the city safe when most of us are sleeping at night cannot be over-stated," the SSP said.

On the occasion, Maharaj also awarded cops deployed in the Dolphin Mobile and Rupaspur police station in-charge Deepak Kumar and his team for apprehending three dacoits wanted in a number of robbery cases.

Each member of the team was given Rs. 11,000 and a certificate of recommendation.

Mohammed Maslehuddin, DSP Police Line, was also present on the occasion.
