Araria: Just hours after attending the highly-publicized wedding of Lalu's son Tej Pratap Yadav with Aishwarya Rai, the grand-daughter or former Bihar Chief Minister Late Daroga Rai in Patna, four persons including three Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders died in a road accident on Sunday morning while returning to their homes in Araria district.

According to reports coming from Araria, the driver of the vehicle near Forbesganj under Simraha police station either dozed off or otherwise got distracted by something and lost control of the vehicle going over the median on the other side of the road where it was struck head on by an oncoming truck.

All four men in the Scorpio died on the spot.

Based on the Adhaar Cards in their possessions, victims were identified as local RJD leaders Ikramul Haq Baghi, Intekhab Alam, and Pappu; and Sahil, the driver of the vehicle, a senior police official in Forbesganj said.

Actual cause of accident remains under investigation. Bodies of the victims were sent to a hospital for post mortem to rule out if alcohol played any role in the tragedy.

Party leaders in Patna, expressing their shock over the tragedy, sent their condolences to the victim's family though it was not clear if any member of the Yadav household planned to meet with them anytime soon.
