Patna: With his three-day parole coming to an end on Sunday, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav, after taking part in his son's wedding last Saturday, left for Ranchi jail where he is doing time following his convictions in a host of fodder scam-related cases.
Yadav was brought to the Patna Airport on Monday evening in a car and then wheeled to the terminal by his closed aide Bhola Yadav who accompanied him to the Ranchi Airport from where he was taken straight to the Birsa Munda Jail.
The RJD chief has already been granted a six-week provisional bail on medical ground by the Ranchi High Court though it its execution is still pending following order from the CBI court that had convicted him in three separate cases related to the fodder scam.
Once cleared by the CBI court, the former Chief Minister of Bihar is likely to go to either Delhi or Mumbai for treatment of kidney-related ailments along with hypertension and diabetes.
Meanwhile, the newly-wed couple, Tej Pratap Yadav and his wife Aishwarya Rai, went temple-hopping in Patna on Monday to seek blessings of the Hindu Gods and Goddesses. He also paid a visit to the ISKCON temple and the temple of Lord Krishna that he got built at his former official bungalow.
