Patna: While the RJD brothers Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejaswi Yadav were busy convincing everyone that there was no rift between them as widely reported in the media, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, at the Lok Samvad program at his residence on Monday, was doing essentially the same thing saying there was no confusion within the NDA and rumors of rift within it were highly exaggerated.
"There is no dispute over any issue and whatever misgivings one may have about seat-sharing will be ironed out well in advance before the election in a manner that is in the spirit of the coalition dharma," the Chief Minister said.
When asked about the Janata Dal – U earlier insisting on having 25 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, Kumar once again brushed off the suggestion saying this was not the right time to discuss seat-sharing and whoever made that suggestion should stop making statements just to attract some publicity.
Kumar rued about the proliferation of 24x7 news channels and the emergence of social media where, he said, anyone could publish anything without any check or balance and people took them for facts.
On the issue of prohibition, the Chief Minister ruled out its withdrawal saying the government was preparing to make some major amendments in the law so no one is able to misuse it. He also denied reports of ban on 'khaini' saying too many people were dependent on it for their livelihood.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
