Patna: Shatrughan Sinha, the BJP MP, on Wednesday ruffled many feathers on Wednesday when he chose to go to an Iftar party organized by the RJD than the one put together by Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal – U in a clear signal to his own party that if he did not get his way in the next Lok Sabha polls, he would not hesitate in crossing over to the other side and join hand with convicted politician Lalu Prasad Yadav.

In one of the clearest indications to the date, Sinha, while mingling with the Yadav clan at the official residence of former Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav, said that it did not matter which party he was a member of; he would still contest Lok Sabha elections from his old constituency of Patna Saheb.

"It does not matter which party I am with, my location is going to be the same," Sinha said indicating Patna Saheb was his constituency and he was not making any compromise with it.

The former Union Minister who feels slighted by the Modi-Shah duo said that he has a 'family' relationship with Lalu Prasad Yadav and that is why he chose to join his family for the Iftar party.

"If JD-U had invited me, I would have gone there too," he said of the Iftar party organized by the JD-U at Haj Bhawan around the same time as the party hosted by the RJD.

Yadav's daughter and MP Misa Bharti and son and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav gave open invitation to the BJP leader saying he would get any seat of his choice if he chose to join the RJD.

Former Chief Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi and a number of Congress leaders were also present on the occasion.
