Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday visited the home of Ashok Mahto, a party worker, in Dumra village in Mokama who died in a landslide during his trip to Amarnath a few days ago.
A lawyer by profession, Mahto was an active member of the Janata Dal – U and had been with Nitish Kumar since Samata Party days before it morphed into the JD-U as we know it today.
Kumar paid floral tribute to the departed soul and offered consolation to the family members who were still struggling to deal with the sudden and tragic death of Mahto.
The Chief Minister stayed there for about half an hour during which he offered help of any kind to the family members left behind by the JD-U leader.
