Patna: Despite no luck in Bihar in the last few elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) appears to be enthusiastic about its outlook in the next year's Lok Sabha elections as it announced its decision to field its candidates in many of the 'strong' seats where AAP had shown tremendous prospect in the past.
Party national spokesperson and an MP, Sanjay Singh, at a press conference in Patna on Saturday, said that AAP would be fielding its candidates from 80 seats in the 2019 Parliamentary polls including all seats in Delhi and Punjab.
"We are absolutely confident of getting rid of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls as the party of Narendra Modi has failed on all fronts. It has also failed to keep any of its promises and people of India are fed up of its divisive and communal politics," he said adding Modi had fooled Bihar by failing to accord special status to it and by claiming that money spent on national highways in Bihar were part of a special package that he had promised to Nitish Kumar.
Singh also took a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying he had become a 'pathetic' leader since he went back to the BJP-led NDA fold.
"BJP is making him beg for respectable number of seats. I ask him to dump BJP and come back to the Mahagathbandhan fold," he said. He also lashed out at Kumar for betraying the mandate of the people of Bihar when he walked out of the Grand Alliance nearly a year ago. With crime rate at an all-time high, Nitish Kumar has destroyed his image of a good administrator," he said.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
