Patna: Not a good day for the former Bihar Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav who, in a rather cavalier fashion, led a bicycle tour of Patna on Thursday to drum up support for Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)'s bicycle rally on Saturday only to be embarrassed by a minor accident in which he was slightly injured.

Yadav, the elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, both former Bihar Chief Ministers, embarked on a bike tour with his supporters from his favorite gym on Boring Road to his parent's home on 10 Circular Road to seek support for his younger brother and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejaswi Yadav's July 28 bike rally aimed to highlight the failure of the Nitish administration.

However, near the Eco Park, Yadav bumped into his own escort vehicle and fell on the ground. Security officials rushed to pick him up but the former Health Minister refused to seek their help and got up himself saying he was not going to be discouraged by a minor incident like this.

"I am a sportsman and a minor incident like this do not discourage me. I will fall down and I will get up again and again and what people think about me don't bother me at all. Our only goal is to get rid of the NDA government and that is all that matters," an unfazed Tej Pratap said.

Yadav was said to have slightly hurt his hand but it was considered too minor to be treated by a health expert.
