Patna: Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) leader and MP from Madhepura Pappu Yadav, speaking at a press conference in Patna on Saturday, joined the chorus of a full CBI probe into the shelter home sexual abuse case saying both Brajesh Thakur and Manisha Dayal – the two key accused in Muzaffarpur and Patna shelter cases – had strong connections with Bihar politicians and government officials that made them complicit in these crimes.
Accusing both ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal – U, and opposition parties led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), of protecting the guilty parties, Yadav said that leaders from both sides were sheltering the Thakur and Dayal who were connected to a number of politicians in Bihar.
"Both NDA and Grand Alliance leaders are silent on Manisha Dayal issue who has strong ties with certain politicians in Bihar. Same goes for Brajesh Thakur. I demand a full CBI probe in the nexus between them and Bihar politicians and if found to be guilty, these politicians must be treated as any other criminal and not as VIPs," the JAP leader demanded.
Yadav said that the fact that the Patna police and the CBI were yet to carry out raids at the office of Social Welfare Department was indicative of collusion between the politicians and law enforcement officials in Bihar.
"Top IAS officials are doing their best to protect Thakur and Dayal. Moreover, now that Manju Verma (the sacked Social Welfare Minister), in order to protect her own skin, is singing like a canary after she revealed the name of Urban Development Minister and BJP leader Suresh Sharma for his alleged involvement in Muzaffarpur shelter rape case, one cannot help but wonder why he was not being sacked by the Chief Minister," Pappu Yadav said.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
