Patna: Bhojpuri film stars Khesarilal Yadav and Kajal Raghwani, at a press conference in Patna on Monday, announced the date for the release of their new social drama 'Sangharsh' that opens up nationwide on August 24 on the occasion of Rakhi.
This is the first Bhojpuri film ever to be released in multiplexes, said its producer Ratnakar Kumar.
The film is directed by Parag Patil and is based on a story by Rakesh Tripathi.
Speaking on the occasion, Raghwani said that the film incorporates the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' (Save Daughters, Educate Daughters) sentiments of both the state and central governments and also stresses the need for 'Beta Samjhao', or teach sons to behave.
"There is no vulgar scene or filth in the film and we believe 'Sangharsh' will become a milestone in clean Bhojpuri movies for other films to emulate," she said adding her role was very challenging as it made her aware how tough the role of a mother was in the Indian society.
Director Parag Patil and Producer Ratnakar Kumar were also present at the press meet.
Other actors to appear in roles include Mahesh Acharya, Seetu Singh, Nisha Jha, Dev Singh, Deepak Sinha, Yadavendra Yadav, Suman Jha, Awadhesh Mishra, Subodh Seth, Prerna Sushma, and Sanjay Mahanand.
Shot on locations in Bihar, the songs for the film have been written by Pyare Lal Yadav, Azad Singh, and Pawan Pandey while the music has been composed by Madhukar Anand and Dhananjay Mishra.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
