ABVP Activists Rally to Demand Improvement at PU Colleges

Patna: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists in Patna on Wednesday took out a march between Patna Science College and the Patna University office to press for their demands including quick decision in the allotment of hostel rooms to legitimate students and ouster of illegally-occupying residents.

Led by former ABVP General Secretary Sudhanshu Bhushan, the protestors produced a laundry list of their demands that included allotment of hostel rooms without further delay, common rooms, clean toilets and rest rooms, clean drinking water facility, modernization of labs, and facilities for physically handicapped students in all colleges.

The protestors also demanded scrapping of the entire LLM exam on account of massive irregularities in it and creation of placement centers for all enrolled in various vocational courses.

"If our demands are not met by Sept. 20, we will be force to intensify our agitation, an ABVP activist said.

Prof. N K Jha, the Student Welfare Officer of Patna University, assured the protestors to look into their demands and take actions accordingly.
