Patna: The melodrama involving Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tej Pratap Yadav and his wife of six months Aishwarya Rai continued to take dramatic turn three days after it was revealed the former Bihar Health Minister had filed a petition for divorce citing mental cruelty by his wife since the beginning of their marriage last May.

Tej Pratap, who had visited his father and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav at a hospital in Ranchi on Saturday, on Sunday left for Patna but spilled his guts once again before the media saying his father was not supporting him on this divorce issue but he will not listen to him either as he was determined to get divorce from his wife.

When asked what this divorce would do to his political career and the career of his other family members, Tej Pratap said he was not concerned about that.

"What do you want me to do, kill myself? Hang myself?" an angry Yadav responded before leaving for Patna.

Sources said the party chief, who is serving 14 years in connection with the fodder scam, told his son not to act in haste and once he comes to Patna on bail, he will set everything right.

However, Yadav's appeal to his son seems to have no effect on him as, before leaving for Patna, Tej Pratap told the reporters he has registered his complaint in a file and he would now present it only before a judge in the civil court.
