BJP Leader Paints Rosy Picture for Indian Youths

Patna: Union Law and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad kicked off the three-day job fair jointly sponsored by the state and central government at the Pataliputra Maidan in Patna on Tuesday.

Speaking at the fair, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said that it was imperative to be educated in order to strengthen the nation and the NDA government has chalked up a plan to raise digital literacy in the nation by providing training to over six crore people.

"The government will launch a number of plans to improve digital literacy among domestic workers so they could learn to operate mobile phones, emails, and WhatsApp to enhance their career prospect. This job fair is indicative of the resolve of the NDA government and reflects the changing face of India. We have reached a deal with the Japanese government under which three lakh Indians would be sent to Japan to learn various skills," Prasad said.

The BJP leader said that India happened to have over 122 crore mobile phones out of which about 50 crore were smart phones of some kind.

"Given these facts, there are huge employment potentials in the area of domestic worker, beauty salons, hospitality industry, health management, and event management," he said adding it was due to the digital explosion in the nation, the government was able to deposit Rs. 4.87 thousand crore in the form of subsidy for poor under Jan Dhan scheme.

By doing so, the government saved roughly Rs. 90 thousand crores that would have otherwise gone in the accounts of brokers and middlemen, he said.

Among others to speak on the occasion included Bihar Labor Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, BJP legislators Nitin Navin and Sanjiv Chaurasia, former legislator Usha Vidyarthi, and retired IPS officer Amod Kanth.
