Patna: With 2019 Lok Sabha elections fast approaching and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) looking every bit vulnerable in the backdrop of current state elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram, Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh controversial Chief Minister and BJP face of the party, will be in Patna on Wednesday, Dec. 12.

With the elections in the above state being perceived as a precursor to the 2019 Parliamentary polls where the BJP-led NDA would be taking on possibly a very united opposition led by the Congress, Adityanath's visit to Patna is seen as motivated by the intention to stir up Hindu sentiments to compensate for any opposition uprising in the state.

The UP Chief Minister is slated to participate in a religious event at the home of Swami Sri Harinarayanand Ji on Bailey Road organized by the Bharat Sadhu Samaj.

His plane will arrive at Patna Airport at 5:35 pm on Wednesday. From there, he will be brought to Swami Sri Harinarayanand's residence. After participating in the event, he will head to the Governor's Mansion where he will spend the night.

He will then depart for Lucknow on Thursday by the 9:15 am flight.
