Patna: After failing to get the attention of Narendra Modi-Amit Shah duo despite months of efforts and being equally jilted by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar that forced him into a corner leaving him with no choice but the walk out of the NDA to save his face, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) chief Upendra Kushwaha on Sunday continued to trash-talk the NDA saying it would never again win in a state like Bihar.

"Those who are dreaming of making the government in Delhi for the second time are in for a major disappointment. The NDA will lose big in Bihar and the people of Bihar have made up their mind to show the door to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar," Kushwaha, who has repeatedly over-estimated his political capital despite no substantial base of his own, said.

The RLSP leader, speaking at a conference at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna, said that the BJP was once again raising the issue of Ram Temple because he did not want voters to ask him about his promises of good education, job opportunities, and better health care system that he had made during the last Lok Sabha elections.

Suggesting he was one of the first few backers of Modi's candidacy prior to the 2014 elections, Kushwaha said he felt betrayed by the NDA that refused to meet with him in the last few months.

"Now we are ready to fight for social justice that the people of Bihar deserve," he said.

The RLSP leader who recently walked out of the NDA and also resigned from his post as a central minister of state, lashed out at Nitish Kumar saying he sold his conscience for power.

"This is the same man who once was outraged by the NDA's comment about his DNA. Today, he is completely in the pocket of the BJP," he said.

Interestingly, the only three legislators of Kushwaha's party on Saturday declared that they had no intention of leaving the NDA and will remain with it even if meant leaving the RLSP.

"Leaving the NDA was Upendra Kushwaha and Upendra Kushwaha's decision alone. We were not taken into confidence before making such a big decision. He has a history of indulging in politics that personally benefits him. We are the real RLSP and will go to the Election Commission to keep the election symbol of fan if required," said Lallan Paswan, one of the three legislators, said.

Another Vidhan Sabha legislator Sudhanshu Shekhar and MLC Sanjeev Shyam Singh were also present at the press conference on Saturday.

Reports said Kushwaha was all set to join the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led Grand Alliance in Bihar following his talk with Congress leader Ahmed Patel at his residence in Delhi on Saturday.
