Patna: Known for his penchant for stunts, both political and personal, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi on Tuesday played cricket with school children at the Miller High School playground and vowed to wipe of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Yadav, who disappeared for nearly a month shortly after filing for divorce from his bride of six months – a move viewed by many as yet another stunt by a man who hungers for approval and attention after remaining in the shadow of his more charismatic younger brother Tejaswi Yadav – held a ‘janata durbar’ at the RJD office on Birchand Patel Marg.

Later, the RJD leader, surrounded by his supporters, walked to the Miller High School playground to review preparation for the Karpoori Jayanti celebration to be held there on January 24.

Sitting on the ground with his friends and supporters, Yadav cracked jokes with them and then, seeing children playing cricket, decided to join them for a little fun.

With party’s district president Dev Muni Yadav choosing to bowl, the former Bihar Health Minister hit the ball far enough to be considered a ‘sixer’ by his loyalists.

“Just like this sixer, I am going to kick the NDA government out of power,” Yadav quipped.

He also admitted being in touch with rebel Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shatrughan Sinha saying the actor-turned-politician was welcome to join RJD that would give him the respect and honor that he deserves.
