Patna: Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, at a press conference at his home on Boring Road in Patna on Monday said that it was the will of the people of India to build Ram Temple in Ayodhya and, as a ordinary citizen and not as a politician, he also desired the construction of this temple sooner than later.

The senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader who is on a two-day trip to his hometown, said that people’s sentiments are attached with the Ram Temple in Ayodhya whose fate has been hanging in the air for the past 70 years.

“This matter should be resolved without further delay so construction of the Ram Temple could begin at the earliest,” he said.

On the occasion, the minister handed out Ayushman Bharat Yojana cards to a number of recipients allowing poor people to get quality medical care despite their inability to pay for the treatment.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi hopes to give away nearly 50-crore such cards to poor people who will be able to get medical treatment at both private and government hospitals up to a total cost of Rs. 5 lakh,” he said.
