Patna: Pistol-waiving criminals in Patna on Monday intercepted an employee of a paper company near Dinkar Roundabout in Rajendra Nagar and robbed him of Rs. 10 lakh that he was carrying with him to a nearby bank for deposit.

The incident occurred shortly after noon when a staff of Kishan Agrawal, a paper trader in Dariyapur, was going to make a deposit at the Canara Bank located on Arya Kumar Road under Kadam Kuan police station.

As soon as he reached the Dinkar Roundabout, two criminals on a motorcycle stopped him and snatched the bag with money after sticking a pistol to his head. The two then fled away before this employee could raise an alarm.

Police said they will be combing video surveillance footage from the area that, they hoped, would give them some clue on the identification of the criminals.
