Rehashing lines from his Republic Day speech at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan last month, the Governor said that the Nitish administration was doing everything in its might to make Bihar a developed state.

“It has also taken a number of steps to make Bihar youths self-dependent and has committed itself to make all basic amenities available to every single citizen of Bihar,” he said.

The Budget Session is to run through February 20 and like all other Assembly sessions in Bihar, this one is also expected to be noisy and disruptive marred with frequent walk-outs and chanting of anti-government slogans.

Deputy Chief Minister and Bihar Finance Minister Sushil Kumar Modi is expected to present the 2019-2020 budget on Tuesday.
