Similar scene was reported from Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district where the body of martyr Thakur was brought for his last rites.
As soon as the body reached the home of Sinha, the air filled with crying and wailing sounds by the grieving family members including his mother Rajmani Devi, father Mahendra Singh, wife Baby Devi, daughters Ruby and Tunni Kumari, and son Om Prakash just as the chant of ‘Shaheed Sanjay Amar Rahein’ grew louder as a sign of respect for the fallen soldier.
With several lakh people following the funeral procession and hundreds of thousands others standing along both sides of the road, the body was brought to the Triveni Bank of Ganga in Fatuha where his last rites were performed by his son Om Prakash amid full state honors..
The body of martyr Thakur, under similar scenario, was brought to Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district where his body was consigned to flames at the bank of Ganga river with his four-year-old son performing the last rites in the presence of hundreds of thousands of people.
Both Sinha and Thakur were part of the envoy in Jammu & Kashmir when a suicide bomber with allegiance to Pakistan-sponsored terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed slammed his vehicle laden with explosives killing nearly 50 CRPF jawans on Thursday and injuring dozens more.
