Patna: Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) chief Pappu Yadav on Tuesday met with the family members of martyr Sanjay Kumar Sinha, the CRPF jawan from Bihar who died in the recent Pakistan-sponsored act of terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir, in Masaurhi and pledged to take care of the family as long as he was able to do so.

Yadav handed over Rs. 1 lakh in cash to the family and assured the parents of the fallen soldier that he would continue to support them so they don’t feel alone in the world in the absence of their brave son.

“I am with you in your hour of need and in all future events. I will personally pay for the medical education of Om Prakash (Sinha’s son) and will also take the responsibility of the marriage of his two daughters,” the MP from Madhepura said after paying floral tribute to the fallen CRPF jawan.

Yadav then blamed both the state government and the Modi government at the Center of doing politics over the victims of terrorism saying they were all talks when it came to taking care of martyrs.

“The Prime Minister, just a day after the Pulwama terrorist attack when the nation was still grieving over the massacre of our 40 jawans, went on to inaugurate new projects in Bihar and elsewhere. This was ill-timed and sent wrong messages to the family members of the martyrs,” he said adding the Pulwama attack was the result of the failure of the Indian intelligence agencies that, despite being warned by the US of a possible attack on the Indian soil, chose to ignore it.

Earlier on Sunday, the JAP chief had met with the other martyr from Bihar, Ratan Kumar Thakur, at his residence in Bhagalpur where he pledged to take care of his children besides giving them Rs. 1 lakh in cash.
