Patna: Shreyasi Singh, the Commonwealth Games gold winner in the shooting event, on Wednesday was appointed the brand ambassador in the state government’s attempt to eradicate malnutrition among women and children.

The recipient of the coveted Arjun Award, Singh, at a function held at Adhiveshan Bhawan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bihar government in which she agreed to promote messages and participate in events to reduce hunger and malnutrition in the state.

“This is a great opportunity for me and I will dedicate myself to this worthy cause that aims to deal with malnutrition leading to a number of diseases including stunted growth and serious health issues,” Singh said.

Atul Prasad, Principal Secretary in the Social Welfare Department, and many others were present on the occasion.
