Patna: After weeks of uncertainty, the Grand Alliance in Bihar on Friday announced the names of its candidates though names for some seats by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP), and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) were withheld until further announcement.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) acting party chief Tejaswi Yadav, at a press conference held at Hotel Maurya in Patna on Friday, announced the names of his party candidates though he withheld the name for the Sheohar seat that is said to be chosen by his ever-sulking brother Tej Pratap Yadav.

Besides Tejaswi Yadav, others present at the press conference included HAM chief Jitan Ram Manjhi, VIP president Mukesh Sahni, Congress former legislator Narendra Kumar Singh, and RLSP representative Satyanand Prasad Dangi.

Following is the names of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections:

Banka - Jaya Prakash Yadav
Begusarai – Tanvir Hassan
Bhagalpur - Bulo Mandal
Buxar – Jagadanand Singh
Darbhanga - Abdul Bari Siddiqui

Jehanabad – Surendra Yadav
Jhanjharpur – Gulab Yadav
Madhepura - Former JD-U president Sharad Yadav

“There is no chaos in the Grand Alliance as reported in the media. We are all agreed on the number of seats being shared by all parties involved,” Tejaswi Yadav said adding the people of Bihar were going to ‘teach a lesson’ to those who had insulted the people’s mandate in the last state elections.
