Danapur: Misa Bharti, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate from Pataliputra constituency and the daughter of party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi, campaigned in Danapur on Friday going door-to-door asking for support for her candidacy for the Lok Sabha.
Pataliputra, along with much-hyped Patna Saheb, goes to poll in the last phase of the seven-phased polls on May 19.
Surrounded by her supporters and party leaders, Misa Bharti visited several localities in Danapur and appealed for votes to defeat Ram Kripal Yadav - the man she once called uncle before he dumped RJD in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
"Grand Alliance wave can be seen all across Bihar. I have their love and blessings and this will
make me victorious over my opponent by a large margin," she said.
Not taking the Yadav votes for granted, the largest vote bank for the RJD besides the Muslim votes, Misa Bharti was accompanied by a number of local Yadav leaders including Raj Kishore Yadav, K D Yadav, Pappu Yadav, Bela Yadav, Subhash Yadav, Om Prakash Yadav, Suresh Yadav, and Kalika Yadav.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
