Patna: Just days after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah held an impressive road-show in Patna to prop up the candidacy of Ravi Shankar Prasad from Patna Saheb, Congress leaders in Bihar announced the proposed road-show of party national president Rahul Gandhi on May 16 to campaign for Shatrughan Sinha, Prasad's rival from the same seat.
Talking to reporters in Patna on Monday, party spokesperson Prem Chandra Mishra said that while the details are yet to be ironed out, Rahul Gandhi, in all likelihood, will conduct a road-show in Patna on May 16, three days before the final phase of the Parliamentary polls, to remind people that Sinha was the 'real deal' who had the interest of all Biharis in his heart.
Engaging in usual political hyperbole, Mishra said that the NDA 'will not win even a single seat' in Bihar and Shatrughan Sinha, popularly known as the Bihari Babu', will emerge as a big winner against his opponent Ravi Shankar Prasad at Patna Saheb seat.
"Rahul Gandhi's road-show will be a lot more impressive than the show put up by Amit Shah," Mishra said.
It may be recalled that Shatrughan Sinha has refrained from getting any Bollywood star to campaign for him though his wife and former movie star Poonam Sinha and their two sons will be taking part in the upcoming road show.
The involvement of their daughter and commercially successful movie star Sonakshi Sinha in campaigning for her father is still undecided.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
