Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, just days before the seventh and last phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar where a host of veteran politicians go against each other, held two rallies in Bihar – in Buxar and then in Sasaram on Tuesday where he stuck to the BJP electoral strategy of slamming the opposition hard and then padding his own resume on national security.

Speaking in Buxar where he was stumping for Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Modi wasted no time in bringing up the 15 years of Lalu-Rabri-led 'jungle raj' during which the Yadav household went on to amass properties and wealth beyond their known sources of income.

"The Lalu family owns billions in properties. Where did they get it? Is the salary of a politician so high that one can become an 'arabpati' in just few years?" the PM asked adding there was something inherently wrong with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress in the way their thought process worked.

"These people think that they own all the castes and the caste members are their slaves. They use them to get votes and obtain high positions but when it comes to doing something for the poor, they very conveniently forget them," he said.

Calling the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) in Bihar 'Mahamilavati, a sobriquet frequently used by the BJP leaders, workers, and supporters, Modi said that the nation was plagued with frequent terrorist attacks until his government swept into power in 2014.

"We gave complete freedom to our armed forces to go after terrorists inside the country and even outside our border. This is the new India that does not cower down to those who want to weaken our country. Instead, we go deep inside the enemy territory and kill those who want to hurt us our way of life," the Prime Minister roared.

In Sasaram, Modi, campaigning for NDA candidates Chhedi Paswan (Sasaram), Mahabali Singh (Karakat), and Satya Narayan Yadav (Dehri), said that some people had damaged the reputation of Bihar and hurt the pride of Biharis and such persons should never be allowed to come into power.

Modi took shots at the Congress leadership saying its leaders were drunk in arrogance who even tried to wipe off the name of Dr. Ambedkar from the history books. They also mentally tortured Jagjivan Ram forcing him to quit the party, he said.
