Patna: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MP from Begusarai Giriraj Singh on Saturday trained his gun on his favorite target Rahul Gandhi saying the Congress leader was 'speaking the language of the Pakistanis' and warned him to not compare himself to Veer Savarkar.
Talking to reporters in Patna on Saturday, Singh, said that, unlike Rahul or Sonia Gandhi, Savarkar was a true patriot.
"One does not become a patriot by borrowing someone else's last name. You have to have 'pure Indian blood' to be a patriot," Singh said in an ominous reminder of Hitler's 'Aryan Race Superiority' idealism that led to the killings of over six million Jews in the Nazi Germany, also known as the Holocaust.
"These people, wearing masks, have robbed India for much too long. This will not be allowed any longer. Are Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi even the citizens of India?" Singh earlier posted on his twitter feed.
As reported, Rahul Gandhi stirred up the proverbial hornet's nest when he said that under Narendra Modi administration India had moved away from the slogan of 'Make in India' to 'Rape in India'.
When asked to apologize for his statement, the Congress leader said, "My name is not 'Rahul Savarkar. My name is Rahul Gandhi. I will never apologise for truth".
Savarkar is said to have apologized repeatedly to the British Raj in an attempt to secure his release from the prison where he was serving two life terms in connection with the murder of a British Collector in Nasik and for conspiring against the king of England. This has been disputed by later Hindu historians who say Savarkar was too big of a patriot to apologize to the British regime and stories of him apologizing to the British officials were patently false.
Other BJP leaders like Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Shahnawaz Hussain have also demanded apologies from Gandhi and some have even demanded his incarceration for 'hurting the sentiments of the Hindus'.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
