Bihar to Observe Arun Jaitley's Birth Anniversary

Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is huge on observing anniversaries, melas, utsavs, yatras, flag-offs, and installing statues of the leaders of his choice, on Tuesday announced his decision to observe the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader's birth anniversary each year on December 28 in Bihar.

The decision to observe Jaitley's birth anniversary in Bihar was taken in a meeting of the Cabinet led by Kumar himself.

Earlier on December 28, the Chief Minister had unveiled the life-size statue of the late minister at a park in Kankarbagh in Patna.

Besides top BJP leaders of Bihar, Jaitley's widow Sangeeta Jaitley and son Rohan Jaitley were present on the occasion.

The former Union Finance Minister died at the age of 66 last year on August 24.
