Patna: Refusing to be intimidated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Registration of Citizens (NRC), Janata Dal-U leader and political strategist Prashant Kishor fired back at the Deputy Chief Minister saying he did not need a character certificate from him when Modi's own political history was checkered with contradictions showing a lack of conviction.
Sharing an old video of the BJP leader, Prashant Kishore said that Modi has a long history of lecturing other politicians.
"Initially, he used to give oral certificates to others; now that he is the Deputy CM, he gives certificates to others in writing," Kishore said.
Modi is seen criticizing Nitish Kumar in the video where the BJP leader says Nitish betrayed the NDA in 2013 when he joined hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led Grand Alliance.
"Nitish Kumar is not Bihar and Bihar is not Nitish Kumar. Betrayal is in his DNA," Modi is seen saying in the video. In another tweet, Modi is seen singing the song of praise to Nitish Kumar.
As reported, the JD-U leader and political strategist has chastised his own boss over his stand on CAA and NRC thus raising the ire of the Chief Minister who has gone on record saying those who did not agree with him were free to leave the party.
