Patna: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajiv Ranjan, in the wake of the party's embarrassing defeat in the Delhi election where it lost to Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) 62-8, took a shot at party's favorite punching bag Rahul Gandhi saying the Congress leader was in love with Pakistan as displayed by him over and over again.
Speaking at a press conference in Patna on Thursday, the former Janata Dal-U leader who ditched his party to join the saffron party in 2015, said that 'Pakistan's Poster Boy' Rahul Gandhi's love for Pakistan was not a secret and once again, he had proven that, for the sake of power, he would not hesitate in kowtowing to India's rogue neighbor.
Ranjan was referring to a tweet by Gandhi in which he used a map of India that shows Kashmir as part of Pakistan and not of India.
"Gandhi should apologize to India for showing Kashmir as part of Pakistan," he said.
The BJP leader further said that though Gandhi eventually took down the offensive tweet after a massive blowback, it did not erase the fact that the Congress leader was sympathetic to Pakistan and showed no loyalty to India whatsoever.
"This is not the first time Rahul Gandhi has proven that he favors Pakistan over India; he has repeatedly shown his liking for Pakistan. And his close associate Shashi Tharoor is also just like him," he said.
As noted, Rajiv Ranjan, a JD-U legislator from Islampur in Nalanda district, left Nitish Kumar's party and joined the BJP just days ahead of 2015 Bihar Assembly polls. He was inducted into the party by party former state chief Mangal Pandey.
