Patna: Bihar Education Minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma on Tuesday released the results of matric exams held earlier this year while giving full marks to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying it was only due to his able leadership, Bihar could become the first state in the nation to declare results despite all the hurdles posed by an early teacher's strike and the coronavirus that forced the nation to go under lockdown over two months ago.

"We earlier became the first state to announce the results of inter exams followed by the results of Class X. Now once again, in spite of the lockdown and limited official activities, we have emerged as the first state in the nation to declare matric results," the minister said.

Continued to stoke the ego of the Chief Minister, Verma said that Bihar had made major strides in the field of education under a visionary leader like Nitish Kumar who has left no stone unturned in improving education condition in the state.

Interestingly, the so-called 'Netarhat of Bihar', the boarding school in Simultala with a stellar record until now, turned out to be a complete dud this year earning the attention of the Education Minister.
