Roads in Patna City Sealed as Coronavirus Cases Rise

Patna: Officials in Patna on Friday sealed a number of areas in Patna City as the number of Coronavirus patients rose up dramatically causing a panic among the residents.

With seven new cases of COVID-19 found on Friday alone, authorities sealed nearly a dozen areas including Ashok Chowk, Murgiachak, Sonar Toli, Terhi Ghat, Gurhatta, and Machharhatta areas along with a section of the Ashok Rajpath leading to Patna City.

An apartment complex where two residents were found positive of COVID-19 was also sealed with no one allowed to go in or out of the building until further tests were carried out on all the residents.

A large 'containment zone' has been built in Alamganj covering Agam Kuan, Pashchim Darwaza, Meena Bazaar, and Danka Imli to deal with the patients, city officials said.
