BJP veteran Ravi Shankar Prasad has demanded the resignation of Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar for his failure to tighten security vaults ahead of rally despite sufficient intelligence input.

The Central home ministry confirms on Monday that almost every state was given a security alert on 24th of October given the mammoth rallies of Narendra Modi. This put both the CM and the Bihar police in dock.

The top officials of Gujarat Police who were deputed in Patna days ahead of the 'Hunkar Rally' to make security arrangements said on Monday how they were embarrassed by the Bihar administration. Even the Z-Plus security protocol was defied by officers of Bihar police.

It is relevant to underscore here that Patna administration had to provide a bullet-proof car with all technical gears. Moreover, Z-Plus security demands for a jammer as well. It is the duty of the host state to provide these security gears. However, the Gujarat DGP had to scuffle with Bihar police for 3-4 days. This ended only after the intervention from Central home ministry, sources say.

Six persons were killed in the seven low intensity serial blasts in and around the venue of Modi’s mega rally at Gandhi Maidan shortly before his address before a huge gathering on Sunday. At least 83 persons were injured in the blasts.

The policy of minority appeasement adapted by the government of Bihar may prove heavy this time as Nitish's face looks smudged heavier this time. Both the policy and administration under the leadership of Nitish Kumar is facing severe flak. Nitish Kumar has been marked several times for giving undue favor to the Muslims to keep the 16 percent minority vote in humor. His affinity towards this powerful Muslim vote bank has made him irrational on occasions. He fails to recognize that not every terrorist is a Muslim or every Muslim is a terrorist.

Failure at the top decision-making level helped terrorists make Bihar their home turf of choice. Consequently, terrorist activities have risen in the entire Mithilanchal region.
