"All is not well", says Hon’ble Supreme Court of India with reference to failure of Bihar administration to issue arrest warrant of Manju Verma, former minister of Nitish Cabinet. (TOI dated Nov. 01, 2018.).
For quite sometimes, it is seen that the Bihar police picketing along the major roads in Bihar have only two agenda at hand - one is to chase and catch the liquor to earn both quick bucks and also save their skin from administrative wrath and the other, to catch the two-wheeler rider for their missing helmets.
I feel laughing… I feel kicking… I feel spitting… I mean I want to do all nasty things when I come across people who play ignorance or act oblivious of, and when you have reasons to believe that the particular incident has been in their knowledge constantly for decades together. Yet they didn’t even hiss about it till someone else brings the incident to light. It is this social double standard that Bihar would go down with in contemporary history of independent India.

Emergency of 1975 in this country has many tell-tales. And they say that most authentic documentation of such saga is in the form of the report of Shah Commission. I haven’t read it and no opinion on it therefore. My truth is my own experience of 13 months of jail term in Muzaffarpur.

"It is undemocratic," said some.
"There is no place of violence in a democracy," said the others.
The party workers went berserk for, their great leader was slapped by an ordinary man, a citizen, a voter of this country.
It was like any other day in Central (Now Khudi Ram Bose Central) Jail in Muzaffarpur except that the scorching sun has lost some of its fury giving us considerable amount of relaxation. The approaching winter had brought ever so uncaring jail administration a sense of providing warm clothing to the prisoners including JP activists imprisoned there.
It was the warm summer afternoon of June 30, 1975 I was sitting idle at home perspiring when I saw Ratnesh coming with some common friends of ours. Ours was a rented house just at one of the large gates of Sarvodaygram in Muzaffarpur.
