New Delhi: Just two days after he sent a hand-written note to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav notifying him of his decision to resign from the party after being in it for over three decades, senior party leader and former state minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh passed away at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) following complications arising from Coronavirus.

Patna: Senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh who remains hospitalized in Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for Coronavirus-related complications, on Thursday tendered his resignation from the party saying he had had enough of the RJD after being a member of it for long 32 years.

Patna: In a rather unexpected move, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday expelled one of his diehard supporters and state’s Industry Minister Shyam Rajak after reports of him planning to leave Kumar’s Janata Dal – U in favor of his original party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) surfaced in the media.

As States race against each other to inch closer to development, Bihar is assumed to be one of the participants that is thought to be lagging. I’m acknowledging my bias here too, because I had similar notions about Bihar. It is the least literate state in India with a literacy rate of 63.82%.
