Patna: With the rumors of Shyam Rajak and Uday Narayan Chowdhary preparing to leave the Janata Dal – U due to differences on Nitish Kumar's reservation policies gaining traction in the media, former Bihar Chief Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi came out in support of the Chief Minister saying both Rajak and Chowdhary were two useless leaders who were now looking for an excuse to leave the JD-U and join hands with Lalu Prasad Yadav.
As reported yesterday, both Rajak, a former Lalu loyalist, and Chowdhary, the former Speaker of Bihar Assembly, came out against Kumar's reservation policies saying Nitish Kumar had abandoned Dalits and was only worried about consolidating power in Bihar.
"These two leaders are on papers only. They are angry and frustrated with Nitish Kumar because they were not included in the new cabinet in the NDA administration. Now they are only looking for an excuse to ditch JD-U and join hands with Lalu or some other party," Manjhi said adding when Nitish Kumar appointed him the Chief Minister of Bihar in 2014, these two leaders had vehemently opposed his appointment.
Supporting the new reservation policy in outsourced jobs as well as announced by Nitish Kumar a couple of days ago, Manjhi said that he was with the Chief Minister on this issue and urged the Center to adopt this policy at the national level.
On the occasion, Manjhi inducted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ajay Kumar Yadav into HAM saying Yadav joined his party with the blessings of BJP state President Nityanand Rai.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
