Patna: While visiting the new annex building currently under construction at the state Assembly, Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday lost his cool when he noticed slow pace of work throughout the new facility leading him to ask the officials to speed up the work so the building could become operational soon.

An angry Kumar told the officials to finish electrical work in the building immediately and make the new canteen functional by the end of this year.

The new building adjacent to the Assembly Bhawan offers a host of new amenities over the existing one including a new library for the lawmakers, luxury chambers for the legislators, a raised walkway connecting the two buildings and of course, a new cafeteria.

The Chief Minister also stressed the need for making the area greener by adding trees and plush grass along with potted plants both inside and outside the new building.

Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chowdhary and a number of top bureaucrats including Chanchal Kumar, Shishir Sinha, and Deepak Singh were also present on the occasion.
