CM Seeks Blessings of the Dalai Lama in Bodh Gaya

Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday met with Buddhist spiritual leader the Dalai Lama who is presently in Bodh Gaya to take part in the ongoing special discourse and sought his blessings for peace in Bihar and prosperity of the state.

On the occasion, Kumar and the Tibetan leader in exile jointly released a book named 'Science and Philosophy in the Indian Buddhist Classic' written by number Tibetan stalwarts.

"I am here at the invitation of the Dalai Lama himself and I am very pleased to grace this pious occasion," Kumar said.

Sticking to his talking points that includes touting of the success of his prohibition policy in Bihar and his crusade against child marriage and dowry system, the Chief Minister bragged about the participation of over 4 million people in the human chain in support of prohibition in Bihar last year.

The Chief Minister then invited everyone to help promote his child marriage and dowry agenda by participating in a human chain to be organized on January 21.
