Patna: Despite a combined brave face by the NDA leaders in the aftermath of exit left stage by Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi, another constituent of the NDA in Bihar expressed his concerns over Manjhi's departure saying it could have an adverse impact on the health of the NDA in the state.
Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Central Minister and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) chief Upendra Kushwaha said that it would be foolish to think that Manjhi's exit won't have any impact on politics in Bihar.
"Jitan Ram Manjhi had been an integral part of the NDA in Bihar that fought against Lalu Prasad Yadav. He is like a family member and anytime a family member leaves, other members of the family sense the vacuum and feel his absence. This is quite natural," Kushwaha, who is also setting himself up for seat bargaining in the upcoming special state and Rajya Sabha elections, said.
When asked if he would follow suit of Manjhi and join hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Kushwaha denied having even thought of that saying it was not going to happen.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
