CM to Inaugurate New Central Hall in Legislative Building

Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is poised to inaugurate the newly-built Central Hall located within the Bihar Legislative Council building where he would kick off the program on Wednesday with a brief history on the role of legislators in a democracy.

On Tuesday night, the entire building was decked up with colorful lights ahead of the tomorrow’s event that would grace the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chowdhary, Legislative Council Chairperson Haroon Rashid, Parliamentary Working Minister Shravan Kumar and other members of the state Assembly and Council.

The program will begin with a cultural show on Wednesday evening that also coincides with the very first meeting of the Council on February 6, 1921.

The new Central Hall is located on the second floor of the Legislative Council. On February 11, Governor Lalji Tandon would open the budget session of the Assembly with his opening speech that would be attended by the members of both Houses.
