Patna: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Patna on Wednesday organized a ‘Run for NaMo’ to promote the candidacy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha election.

Noted sprinters Samir Singh and Sneha Singh were among hundreds who took part in the run that was flagged off by BJP candidate from Patna Saheb Ravi Shankar Prasad and legislators Dr. Sanjeev Chaurasia and Arun Kumar Sinha.

The run led by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Patna president Manish Kumar began at pillar number 32 near Raja Bazaar and after passing through Bailey Road, Patna Zoo, Income Tax Roundabout, Exhibition Road, and Kadam Kuan, arrived at the historical residence of Loknayak Jaya Prakash Narayan where they paid floral tribute to the man who led anti-Indira campaign in the ‘70s leading to the ouster of the Congress government.

Speaking on the occasion, Prasad expressed his confidence in the victory of NDA in the Lok Sabha elections that, he said, would send Narendra Modi to his second term with a convincing mandate.

Calling Congress a party that backed terrorists instead of Indian soldiers, the BJP candidate from Patna Saheb said that by questioning the integrity of the Indian armed forces, the Congress had demoralized the army while bolstering the morale of the terrorists and their supporters in Pakistan.
