Patna: The body of the three-time Chief Minister of Bihar Jagannath Mishra was brought to Patna on Tuesday as politicians cutting across party line paid tribute to him at the airport and later at the state Assembly, Legislative Council, and Sadaqat Ashram, the Congress headquarters in Bihar.

As reported, Dr. Mishra passed away at a Delhi hospital on Tuesday at the age of 83 following a prolonged illness.

The body of the former Congress leader who went on to switch parties a number of times during his long political career was brought to the state Assembly by his sons Sanjeev Mishra, Manish Mishra, and Nitish Mishra where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Speaker Vijay Kumar Chowdhary, Legislative Council chairperson Haroon Rashid, and a number of cabinet members and leaders from other parties paid floral tribute to him.
