Patna: As if former Home and Finance Minister P. Chidambaram was not already in some major trouble, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi dropped a bombshell on the Congress leader saying Chidambaram was helping Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI that resulted in a number of terrorist attacks in India.

In a three-part tweet, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, while accusing the former Home Minister of colluding with a foreign nation, also said that during this time, India had seen a big surge in the circulation of counterfeit Indian currency brought in by Pakistani agents in the country.

Without delving into details or divulging his source for his information, Modi said that it was Chidambaram who, at the behest of Pakistan, conspired to entrap the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in fake murder cases.

Continuing with his accusations, the BJP leader said that the fact that Congress has hired a lot of top lawyers to defend Chidambaram in the corruption cases that he has been charged by the CBI and is currently in police custody revealed that one, Congress, as a party, is afraid of being exposed and second, the Congress Party has no faith in the Indian judicial system.

"Chidambaram received kickback money for weakening the very security of India and the nation's economy through fake companies. This money was used for buying properties and luxurious items for his son and other relatives," Modi said.
