Patna: With the new Motor Vehicle Act in full enforcement, a cash-strapped Bihar, in the aftermath of all the lost revenue due to imposition of prohibition, the state government is raking in lakhs of rupees on daily basis to make up for the loss and Sunday was no exception.
The roadblock was personally being supervised by Patna Divisional Commissioner Anand Kishore who was in no mood to give a break to anyone.
Meanwhile, the police stopped an Innova driven by the son of former Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav. As reported, when stopped, the adult son of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader told the cops who he was and he was swiftly let go by those checking vehicle papers.
Kishore, who saw the entire incident with his own eyes, immediately directed the Traffic SP to fire four constables who allowed Yadav's son to go without verifying his license of vehicle registration papers.
"Rules are for everyone, including the VIPS. If they are found in violation of traffic laws, they will not be spared either," the Divisional Commissioner said.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
