Patna: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday took a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi saying the latter had no knowledge of the Indian history and, before making any comment on any subject, he should open a history book to stop himself from making a fool.

"Veer Savarkar was born in India and that is a matter of great pride for all Indians. Rahul Gandhi has no right to comment on our great freedom fighters," Prasad said at a press conference at his home in Patna.

"Rahul Gandhi is a failure in politics and yet, the Congress continues to present him as the face of the party. His recent 'Bharat Bachao' rally in Delhi was more about 'Congress Bachao' rally that, like many of his rallies in the past, flopped big time," he said.

Prasad further said that losers should not insult our national heroes and instead, wait for their own shot at power.

Bringing up the usual party talking points, the BJP leader demanded to know why Congress was against a strong India.

"Why is Congress supporting those who weaken our great nation? Why is it opposed to Article 370 and why doesn't its leaders don't speak against Pakistani terrorists in Kashmir? Why doesn't it speak about the systemic corruption in the Congress party when it was in power?" the Union Minister said.

Prasad also asked the Congress to not create confusion on the Citizenship bill because it was not 'anti-Muslim' as its opponents have been calling.

"The bill is not anti-Muslim; it is designed to protect those who are facing religious persecution in countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Indians are safe in India and Congress would be well-advised not to create unnecessary confusion on the bill," he said.
